What We Do?
- Daatha Foundation Trust transforms lives around the globe by improving schools and school systems. We work with governments or with clusters of schools to effect positive change and our specialist knowledge means we deliver – and design – effective, far-reaching and sustainable education solutions.
- Daatha Foundation Trust is a world authority on school inspection and evaluation having inspected schools around the world for more than 20 years. Working with governments to raise standards in schools is something that we are passionate about: a transparent framework means better education for all.
- We work hand in hand with governments to design and implement effective inspections frameworks that work with the local context and demands. Having collaborated with Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills in England, since its establishment in 1993, our unrivalled expertise has solid foundations and now extends globally and to our own international school inspection framework, the International Schools Quality Mark.
Inspections around the world
Our inspections expertise has a significant international footprint and we have worked in partnership with government agencies in countries as diverse as India, Thailand and Jamaica. As well as our longstanding work with Ofsted in England, we have a special history of improving school standards through inspection in the Middle East. From setting up Dubai’s very first inspections framework with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority to reviewing school quality in both private and government schools on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), we are an established authority in the region.
Providing a lasting legacy
Working with different governments around the world on school improvement through evaluation, review and inspection is a major focus for Daatha foundation Trust and while the output will change according to local need, our methodology always has one constant: to provide a sustainable solution that works. We work hand in hand with local government agencies to ensure that we leave a lasting legacy: accountability in education to improve standards for today’s and tomorrow’s students.
Improving outcomes through effective collaboration
Developed in close collaboration with schools, our Schools Partnership Programme works with 'clusters' of schools to build their capacity and capability in leading continuous improvement and a joint commitment to pupil outcomes. Drawing on our international expertise in school improvement and our knowledge of what inspirational schools do, Education Development Trust trains schools in rigorous self-evaluation, peer scrutiny and school-led support and challenge. Through their affiliation to Education Development Trust, leaders can also connect with our national network of schools and engage with influential education
Children with strong social-emotional skills are more interested in all types of learning and do better later in school because they are more focused, more open to cooperation, and have fewer behavioral problems. Social-emotional development also helps foster a child’s ability to plan, manage emotions and persist at tasks. This leads to greater math proficiency, better reading ability and more sophisticated reasoning skills.
