Jalanidhi – Every Drop is a Source of Life
Daatha Foundation Water Revolution Blog
Water is not just a resource – It is life itself
From ancient scriptures to modern science, from rural farms to urban homes – water is the thread that binds all life. Yet today, we are facing an unprecedented water crisis. To address this, Daatha Foundation has launched a transformative initiative – “Jalanidhi” – aiming to preserve and regenerate our most vital resource: water.
What is Jalanidhi?
“Jalanidhi” means “Treasure of Water.”
It is a rural water conservation movement driven by Daatha Foundation to ensure water security for every family, farmer, and village. The program includes building rainwater harvesting pits, restoring traditional water bodies, promoting groundwater recharge, and educating communities on sustainable water practices.
Our Core Goals:
Harvest rainwater in every village
Revive groundwater through recharge pits
Ensure water security for farmers and families
Spread awareness among students and citizens about water conservation
Why Jalanidhi Matters:
Water scarcity in over 50% of rural villages
Dry borewells and depleted groundwater
Crop failure due to water unavailability
Soil degradation and ecological imbalance
Daatha Foundation’s Action Model:
Community participation at the grassroots level
Low-cost, high-impact solutions
Water literacy programs in rural schools
Engagement of youth and volunteers in awareness campaigns
How You Can Help:
Donate land or space for recharge pits in your village
Host awareness sessions in schools or community halls
Join hands as a volunteer for our water campaigns
Share and spread the message with hashtags:

Final Word:
To save water is to save life.
Through Jalanidhi, let’s protect every single drop – it’s a drop of hope for the future.
